DELTA.

This project was a collaborative class between myself and 14 other students from a multitude of different majors and backgrounds and Delta Airlines. We were given 10 weeks to work together to explore the entire customer journey from Inspiration to Destination within the sphere of "Future of Air Travel in 2027". Presented with their in-house customer journey and walked through Delta's identified pain points - Security, Time and Control, along with their two main travelers, Leisure and Corporate, we set off to build a vision of what the future of flying with delta could become in 2027.

As a Visual Designer, UX Designer and Video Editor on this project, I assisted in User Research, concept and asset development, as well as helped project manage and overseeing all asset development for the final deliverables to the Client: Presentation, Video and Process Book.

Research

To gain insights into the upcoming trends in technology and air travel, we spent time researching what's happening in the industry of all aspects of travel and technology. We conducted surveys from frequent travelers and ones who rarely fly. We also went behind the scenes of two airports to gain an understanding of how airports function on a daily basis.

Co-Collaboration

During the midpoint of our project we worked collaborativley with the Delta team to get an insight of how they liked our midpoint ideas in a casual and one on one conversation.

During an exercise with the Delta Team, we had the members come up to a wall that displayed all of our favorite ideation concepts, and invited them to write comments they had on each, and rate their favorite ideas and their absolute no nos. This kick-started great discussions between our members and theirs, and really helped us pick their brain and understand what they were feeling about each of our concepts directly.

Passengers are just sitting, staring, quiet... not paying attention to each other. What if there is ‘something’? It would be better if there was something that would make us talk to each other.”
