KOOzie.
BIC Graphics wanted to expand on their KOOZIE product line and leverage brand name by developing KOOZIE branded tumblers. We were asked to take the following 10 weeks to develop families of 4-6 tumblers that would be launching in the market by July 2017. Each of these tumblers would have distinct design elements that would be carried throughout the range. This element was timeless and appealing to a wide range of audiences that incorporated current and future KOOZIE brand values.
As a Designer on this project, I lead all design needs, from presentations to organizational work. I also assisted in final asset development for 3D Models of our deliverables.

The Deliverables
During the process of over 500 concept sketches and then continuous rounds of refinements, we settled on three final products to show. Each of them had their own unique style that separated themselves from anything currently on the market, yet still kept the integrity of the Koozie brand. Our three products, Eleven, Klopeck and Hopson introduced interesting mechanisms and clean silhouettes that would not only feel comfortable in the users hand, but give them a sense of pride to be using their Koozie product.
Klopeck
A timeless silhouette that included a subtle and elegant taper to the tumbler keeps the design interesting yet traditional. The mechanism includes a pull-tab, a nod to the iconic Koozie tag, and offers an addictive click sound as the spout is opened and closed.
Klopek
Most similar to the classic Koozie silhouette, this tumbler is wrapped in a full sleeve Koozie for a more comfortable and familiar experience for the user. The lid has a spring loaded button, which is pressed, then swiveled, to provide a confident closure. Once pressed, the button can be rotated left or right to give a choice of openings for the desired beverage.
Hopson
This minimal silhouette provides the best experiences for both hot and cold beverages. Designed with two openings, a simple flick of the thumb on the front slide will open a small spout for sipping a hot beverage. A slide back to the right will seal and lock the tumbler, while a further push to the left will allow the lid to hinge open and reveal a larger spout for a more refreshing draft of a cold beverage.
